Child Safety

The Swim Factory is committed to providing a safe and positive experience for every child and young person who takes part in our programs. We support and respect our children, young people, staff, trainees and parents, and we take our responsibility to protect children seriously.

Here’s how we protect children in our care:

A safe environment – We provide safe premises and activities, with staff trained to identify and manage any risks to children.
Privacy and confidentiality – Information shared with us about children and families is handled with care, in line with our privacy policy.
Careful staff recruitment – All prospective staff undergo thorough screening, including Working with Children checks and reference checks.

Ongoing staff support – Our staff and trainees follow a code of conduct and are supervised to ensure best practice when working with children.

A clear process for concerns – We have appointed Child Safety Contacts and a formal complaint procedure so any concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing can be raised and addressed.

This policy is reviewed regularly (next review: May 2027) to make sure it continues to reflect best practice.
